The year at a glance
- Autumn: safety audit. Led by the safety adviser. See our safety audit guide.
- Late winter to spring: membership declaration. The club confirms its membership numbers to British Rowing through ClubHub.
- Affiliation renewal. Club affiliation, terms and fees are renewed for the new year; fees for members and clubs have typically changed from 1 April.
- All year: new members. Racing rowers need the right British Rowing membership before entering competitions.
Exact dates change each year. Check British Rowing's club affiliation pages and ClubHub.
What each one needs
Every deadline comes back to the same question: does the club know who its members are, what category they are in, and whether they've paid? Clubs that keep that list current find the declaration takes minutes, not weekends.
How BoatLog helps
BoatLog keeps the club's membership list and subs in one place: categories, who has paid, who is due, and income received. Club subs and British Rowing membership are separate things, but having your own list straight makes every British Rowing deadline easier.

Questions
FAQ
When is the British Rowing membership declaration?
It has been due in the spring in recent years. Check ClubHub and British Rowing's affiliation pages for this year's date.
Is club membership the same as British Rowing membership?
No. Club subs are paid to your club. British Rowing membership is separate and is needed for things like racing.
Does BoatLog connect to ClubHub?
No. BoatLog keeps the club's own records. Submissions to British Rowing are made through British Rowing's systems.
